The Last Time…

A blog, Confessions from a Mom, decided to do a post on the last time you did certain stuff. I thought it was kind of fun so I decided to join her. Please don’t judge me on the last time I did most of these things. Enjoy!

The Last Time You...
...took a shower: Yesterday (I had somewhere I had to go

...shaved your legs: Yesterday as well…I’ve been wearing lots of skirts and dresses because it’s so hot. So I try to shave them at least once a week.

...got your hair cut, colored or professionally styled:Some time in April I think. Maybe it was March? Either way it was before Korbyn was born.

...wore mascara: Today…if the left over from yesterday counts.

...read a non-children's book: May of 2010? Like before I graduated nursing school. That is really sad!

...cleaned your kitchen: Yesterday…well technically I just put up dishes and wiped down countertops. I still need to sweep and mop. Maybe I’ll get to that…eventually?

...changed the sheets on your bed: hmmm…maybe 3 weeks ago…eww. Now I have to change my sheets TODAY! Please don’t judge.

...kissed your children: about five minutes ago

...took a vacation: Well Jay and I went for a weekend away back in November. We have technically never been on a big vacation. 

...took a vacation... without the kids: The above was for our 5 year anniversary so it was without Jayci

...went to the gym: ….Yea I have NO idea

...talked to your mother (in person or on the phone): yesterday

...told your spouse you loved him/her: This morning when he left for work.

I thought I would take a little time and share Korbyn’s latest trick with you…

Smiles! I just love this toothless grin. These pictures were taken on my phone so they are not the greatest quality but I still LOVE them. He has actually been smiling a little bit for a couple of weeks now but this is the first time I have caught one on camera. I think pretty soon he will learn: Mommy=Camera=Smile! Ha.

   

I just thought this was a sweet picture. He is holding Jayci’s hand. She loves him so so much. Sometimes it drives me absolutely crazy because she is always in his face but I just try to be patient because I know one day she is not going to like him so much….

 

And one more big smile to leave you with. How can you just not want to kiss those sweet cheeks! Eek I am so in love!

Father's Day

Just wanted to do a quick update poolside. Jay did only have to work half a day so we got to come to his dad's house and spend some time.
Here is Jay, Jayci, and Korbyn. I had the long sleeve shirt on Korbyn but then it was shaded so we took it off of him. He LOVES the water. I promise he is awake in this picture. His eyes are just closed from the sun.

Oh and just in case you are wondering Huggies will hold a LOT of liquid. I couldn't find little swimmers in his size. I guess they don't make them?





Okay well I hope all of you had a very Happy Father's Day. I am so blessed to have a wonderful husband/dad for my kids and great father's to set examples.

Newborn Pictures

We had pictures done of Korbyn when he was right at 3 weeks old by K.Bullard Photography. They turned out really good. I just thought I would share a few of them here.

I think this one is too sweet.  

I love how Jayci is looking at Korbyn’s feet and I love how his room looks in this picture as well.

And this one is just priceless. I love it!

This one I think I am going to have put on a canvas to put into our living room.

Or this one….I can’t really decide.

I love K’s blue eyes in this picture. I dislike that his paci got caught in it but oh well it’s still really cute.

 

This one I LOVE! I think I am going to use this one plus the following black and white ones in his room. This one will be the center with the black and white ones surrounding it. I think that will look cute. What do you think?

 

Lastly, this one is just sweet.

I really want to frame them all but I don’t have enough room to put all of them.

Well, I hope all of you have a great weekend. Have a good time celebrating Father’s Day. My dad is out of town and my husband will be working half the day. After that, assuming he gets off on time, we will be going to his dad’s to cookout and swim. I am so blessed to have such wonderful men in my life. They are all such hardworking, God loving men. I hope all of you have a good time celebrating tomorrow.

One Month Old

Korbyn,

   You are one-month-old today! I can hardly believe you made your arrival only a month ago. It is hard to imagine what life was like without you. We are so in love with you. You are such a sweet baby! Let’s see what are you up to.

Last week we went and had you weighed and you were 9lbs 7oz. So I am guessing you are a little more than that now.

(I think you may have tried to smile once this month…but then again it could have been gas too…)

You are still eating, sleeping, and pooping a lot. However, you are eating closer to every 3 hours instead of every 2 now. You are sleeping less during the day. You have pretty much put your self on a schedule which is good for mommy!

Oh a very important milestone…You are sleeping through the night! You go to bed about 10 and will sleep somewhere between 5 and 8am. I like the days that you sleep until 8 better but you know that’s just me!

You had your first bottles this month. You do great taking them and then going back to nursing. It is so great for mommy to know that because now I won’t worry so much when I have to go back to work next month.

You are trying so hard to hold your little head up. You do a very good job at it sometimes.

This picture makes my heart just melt!

You make good eye contact when someone is holding and talking to you. I think you are starting to recognize my voice and possible Jayci’s and Daddy’s. I don’t know how you couldn’t know Jayci’s voice she is always in your face saying, “Hey Korb” or “Hi Korbyn!” She loves you oh so much.

I think that is about it….oh the bear you see in all the pictures your sister brought to you at the hospital. According to Grammy it took Jayci forever to pick the perfect thing out for you. Therefore, I am going to take your monthly pictures with it so I can compare and watch how much you are growing!  We love you so much Korbyn!

P.S. Just in case you didn’t notice, you will be a Razorback fan! Your Mimi bought you the hog hat and Jayci is already trying to teach you how to “Call the Hogs.” You can never start to early….

Memorial Day

  We had a very low key Memorial Day. We just hung out at the house, went to Jay’s grandparent’s for a quick visit and to let them see the kids, then back home to grill and play in the water. Then of course an impromptu photo shoot took place.

I’ll just share some of these precious photos with you!

Look at these cute little piggy's! I could just eat them up!

If you look close you can see that he may have red hair as well. How a blonde haired girl and dark brown haired guy get 2 red haired babies I’ll never know?!? But it looks like that’s just how we roll. Ha.

Little man in his swim suit. It was way to cold for him to actually get in the water but he was still cute!

  

And now he’s done with the hat!

Of course, summer is not complete without a little slip and slide!
