Christmas 2010 (cont.)

After all the fun festivities on Christmas Eve we came home to get ready for Santa to come early Christmas Morning. As soon as we got home, Jayci put on her pajamas and we read the book that my dad had recorded for her and put her in bed. She kept telling me that we had to go to bed too so Santa would come. So of course I said we would be going to bed really soon and she was pretty satisfied with that answered.

At our house Santa does not wrap his presents. I don’t really know why but I figure it has something to do with the fact that he (or she) is tired of wrapping presents and this is just the easy way out. Anyway, here is a picture of all the Santa stuff with the exception of Lucy’s (the dog) stocking.  I brought it out that night and she went CRAZY for all the new toys so I had to put it up until after I put her in her kennel.

On to Christmas Morning…I am one that gets SO excited about Christmas. Not just about my presents either  more about seeing Jayci wake up and her reaction. Therefore, I woke up at about 4:45 (mainly to use the bathroom) but then I couldn’t go back to sleep. Then about 5:15 Jay woke up and we just laid in bed talking and eventually I got up and got us something to eat. Well we both started falling back asleep about 7 or so and of course Jayci came running in our room about 7:30. It was funny because she did not even stop to look in the living room to see if Santa had came. She came to us asking and telling us that she didn’t hear him or his sleigh bells. While, she was in our room we had her just crawl in bed with us and read the story of Jesus' birth out of her “Jesus Storybook Bible” (which we love). We started this tradition last year but I think I like the idea of snuggling a little bit before rushing to see what Santa brought, especially this year since she didn’t even realize stuff was out there.

Anyway, here is a video of her coming out of our room. You have to excuse the mess behind her. The night before we had just dumped all the stuff on the couch.  Also, I’m not sure why she was crawling but she’s kind of goofy like that.

She was excited about all of her presents but she kept saying well this wasn’t on my list. I tried to just tell her that Santa thought she might would want it.

Here she is with the almost impossible gift Santa had to find. A care bear! Who knew these would be so hard? Luckily some great people from church had some from when there 20 something children were small that they were willing to get rid of. She loves them!

Silly bands!

069

Santa must have been crazy to bring bubble gum! At least it’s sugar free. :) And a small princess flashlight that could not be passed up.

070 071

Some cute purses that had jewelry in them. And a tea set that we picked up when we were on vacation for our anniversary. We’ve already had a tea party!

072 074

Just my girl looking so cute after I made her put in a head band to get the hair out of her face!

075 077

V-Reader that is great. She loves playing it in the car.

078

All new dress up! That means we got to get rid of all of her old dress up! While doing that yesterday I went ahead and moved her playroom out of what will be the babies room and into the guest room!

082

Jay opening his Blue-Ray player.

083

My cute rain boots. My husband did good. I didn’t even really ask for these for Christmas but he remembered me asking for them throughout the year!

084

HOUSE SHOES!!

085

Blue-ray player and the movie “Eclipse” that I may or may not have wrapped for Jayci. HA!

 086

BARBIE TIME!!!

089

After we finished with our Christmas morning stuff we got ready and went to my grandmas. I didn’t even take my camera out of the car. It gets a little crowded so I just left it. Just know we had a good time!

Then we went to the in-laws house to celebrate with Jay’s parents and siblings and kids. It is a fun time and very relaxing!

After dinner it was present time. Here is Jayci and cousin K digging in.

091

Little Ms. B very sleepy by this time but she is still so cute and sweet!

093

B and her mommy Cori.

094

And my oh so goofy husband and E unwrapping his present.

095

We did go to one more place the day after Christmas but again I didn’t take my camera. We had such a good Christmas and are very blessed. I cannot wait until next year and all the future years when we have two kids to wake us up and to celebrate with. Okay well this is the last of my Christmas posts. The next post will hopefully be announcing the gender and name of “Peanut!”

Christmas 2010

Pre-warning: This may be a really long post! I thought about breaking it all up but then thought that would take to much effort. HA!

Our celebrations started Christmas Eve morning. We went to my parents house to spend the morning with them. In fact, we all just woke up and stayed in our pajamas.

Jayci with her doll that looks like her. It has red hair, brown eyes, and it giggles. She loves it. Honestly, it is buckled up in the seat that is next to Jayci’s booster seat. She insisted!

 008 017

My dad bought her the book, “The Night Before Christmas.” It is one of those that you can record your voice reading the book. We listened to it Christmas Eve night and she thought it was so neat that Papaw was reading.

010

Spencer, my sister’s dog, was a little sad he didn’t have any presents so he just went and laid on the paper. HA!

013

My future rock star!

015

After we opened presents at my dad’s we just hung out and got ready to go to my granddad's house. We always have a ton of family over there and it’s usually a lot of fun!

Jayci and P. They are only a month apart in age and love playing together. It is such fun to have cousins to grow up with. It makes family gatherings so much more fun. Or it did for me when I was younger anyway!

018

Silly faces

022

023

My sister Carrie putting together gingerbread house. That would eventually be wrecked by 2 little sets of hands.

026

The two sets of hands…

030

The finished product. They were so proud. On a side note. P has to be one of the funniest kids I know. Jayci pretty much refused to smile for the first few pictures so I told her to either smile or to move. Well  P was apparently getting tired of standing there with a smile on his face and was like “yeah, move!”  He really wasn’t trying to be mean but just be done with the picture. It was so funny. You never know what will come out of his mouth.

042

My Aunt Beth and Jayci

029

About our 20th attempt at a family picture because I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I think when I get sleepy it just gets harder and harder for them to stay open.

043

My sister, the newest cousin in our family, P’s little brother N, and Jayci

044

Showing off her new bracelet.

054

Papaw trying to show her how to work that toy. She had no idea what it was. I just remember loving them as a kid.

056

Okay well when I said it would all be in one post. I apparently lied. HA. I’m getting tired of typing so I will finish up our weekend in another post.

Christmas Program 2010 & Garvin Woodland Gardens

This is a video of Jayci’s Christmas program at her preschool this year. It’s a little long but I really didn’t feel like editing. I was so proud of her last year she just stood up there and cried. This year, if you watch the video, you can see that she is actually singing!

Here are some pictures from the day as well.

I always close my eyes during pictures so we were keeping our eyes REALLY big!

GARVIN WOODLAND GARDENS

The next pictures are from a place called Garvin Woodland Gardens. We went this last Sunday with some friends and their kiddos. This is the second year we went. Last year we went on a Tuesday or Thursday  and it was way less crowded and a little more fun because we could just let the kids run ahead a little more without losing them. This year it was SO crowded but we still had a great time. This place has like 1.8 million lights (I think). It is really pretty and a neat place to go.

Me and my Sweet girl.

012

I just love A’s face in this picture. I used to watch A at the day care when he was less than a year old and then we started going to church with his parents and have been friends since then. I love having friends that have kids that are about the same age. It helps with the frustrations of raising a child and it’s just fun to watch them all play and grow together.

And then there is a picture of just me!

Okay well I guess that is it for this post. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas! We are in for a very busy weekend!!

Merry Christmas from The Bradley’s

This is our Christmas card I did this year from Shutterfly. Best part they were FREE! Anyway, I was really happy with them and thought they turned out pretty good.

I hope each of you have a very Merry Christmas. I have to work next week and we always have a very busy couple of days around Christmas so I am going to guess that I probably won’t be blogging until after Christmas.

“Peanut’s” First Official Post

baby 17weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 17 weeks

Size of baby: “Peanut” (Jayci’s nickname for the baby) is about the size of a sweet potato

Maternity Clothes: At work I still wear my regular scrubs. However, I did notice this week that they have started to roll under my belly that has mysteriously appeared. Guess I’ll be buying some new scrubs or a bella band soon. (Have you ever used one? Do they work?) My everyday clothes mainly wear maternity just because it’s a little more comfortable, especially for pants.

Gender: Not sure yet. Jay is 100% positive it is a boy. I am completely undecided. Which is weird because I KNEW Jayci was a girl. Jayci has now put her vote in that it is a boy as well. Our big Ultrasound is on the 29th of this month so I guess we shall see then!

Movement: Definitely think I’ve felt some but not 100% sure. I can usually tell when I wake up where he or she is because I can just feel a tight spot in one place.

Sleep: Well since it is 5am and I’ve been up since 3 I’m going to say not so good. Part of it has to do with my work schedule but the other part is just because I wake up to pee and can’t go back to sleep. Quite Frustrating if you ask me!

What I miss: This week I really wanted some sushi so I am missing that. And of course sleep, but really I’m not that great of a sleeper when I’m not pregnant either.

Cravings: Mexican (Mainly just salsa and cheese dip), Oranges (I love the little Clementine's right now!)

Symptoms: Tired, Pretty much feel like I could cry at the drop of a hat, probably because I’m tired but I haven’t really lost it yet. I was way more emotional with Jayci.

Best Moment this week: My doctors appointment last Monday. Heard a heart beat of 140-150’s. I just love hearing that little sound.
